Coaches and Assistant Coaches

• Volunteers Needed •

As the Region continues to grow and we strive to create a quality Soccer program for our children, we are going to need coaches and assistant coaches. Keeping in line with National AYSO and with recommendatons from FIFA, the Board has decided to reduce the number of players on the rosters for the lower age divisions and therefore give the coaches better opportunities to teach the players the game of soccer. This provides more coaching opportunites for more parents!

The Region will provide you with the training and supplies necessary to do your job! There will be coach training sessions in San Elijo, San Marcos and La Costa that you can attend. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate so during your child's registration or send an email to our Coach Administrator at coachadmin@sanelijoayso.org.

All coaches must receive age appropriate certification to be eligible for Secondary Play.

• Completing the Volunteer Process •

Now that you've decided to volunteer, there are a few things you'll need to do:

  • Online Registration - Register at http://www.eayso.org. This will permit AYSO to run a background check on you and gives you the opportunity to print out a completed application.
  • Mail Paperwork - Print out 2 copies of the completed application and sign each copy. Send these 2 copies and a copy of your driver's license to:
    CVPA

  • Online Training - Once your paperwork is processed, the AYSO ID # (found on your completed application) will be activated. This will allow you to access the online training at http://www.aysotraining.org. Take the mandatory "Safe Haven Certification" course.
