Regional Level Volunteer Opportunities

There are a number of positions at the Regional level that need to be filled in order for us to have a successful season.  Some of the positions require one person, while others would probably work best with a group and one person heading up the group.  Some positions are not required for the entire season and others are.  Please look through the descriptions below and see where you can help out.  You will have an opportunity during registration to select an area of Volunteer Interest and you can always email.

Equipment Manager(s):
Ensures that the goals and corner flags are unlocked and available every Saturday morning before the first game.  At the end of day, makes sure all equipment is put away and locked back up.  Also, checks to make sure all equipment is safe and in good working order.  A small group of volunteers may work best as there may be multiple fields to take care of.

Field Liners:
After the fields have been initially measured and lined/painted, a small group of volunteers will be required to line the fields again every Friday afternoon/evening.

Picture Day Organizer:
Contacts and makes arrangements with a photographer to do individual and team pictures.  Check the schedule the photographer puts together.  And then to work with the Team Parent Administrator to distribute the pictures to the Team Parents.  This does not have to be an entire day or a "family fun" day.   Pictures are expected to be done within the first 3-4 weeks of the season.  This position may only require 1 or 2 people.  Most photo companies provide all the necessary personnel to run picture day.

Trophy Coordinator:
Make arrangements with a trophy supplier to order trophies for all the players in the league.  Work with Team Parent Administrator to get the player names and team name that is to appear on the trophies from each Team Parent.   Distribute the trophies to the Team Parents with the help of the Team Parent Administrator.  Trophy orders need to be placed so that the trophies are in before the last games of the season.  The gathering of the information and ordering of the trophies can probably be handled online (email, etc.).  This position may only require 1 person.

Uniform Coordinator:
All of the sizing information is collected through the registration process.  Basically, the uniform coordinator will help with facilitating the order (filling out forms, faxing/emailing orders).  The Uniform Coordinator will work with the Team Parent Administrator to help distribute the uniforms to the Team Parents.  This position may only require 1 or 2 people.

Team Parent Coordinator:
The Team Parent Coordinator will relay any problems or issues that the Team Parents are having back to the Board of Directors.  The Team Parent Coordinator will help to ensure that all Team Parents are registered with AYSO and have been Safe Haven Certified (this certificiation is an online class that takes about 20 minutes).   The Team Parent Coordinator will also work with the Picture Day Organizer, Trophy Coordinator and Uniform Coordinator to help distribute items to the Team Parents.  This position could be filled by 1 or 2 people.
